Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Fish101, a free mobile app for identifying fish from photos. Fish101 is published by Piscaro LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using Fish101, you agree to these terms.

Free to use

Fish101 is free. There is no paid tier, no subscription, no in-app purchases. We do not anticipate adding any paid features to Fish101.

What Fish101 does and doesn't promise

Fish101 uses AI to identify fish in photos. The identifications are best-effort and may be wrong. Do not rely on Fish101's identifications for decisions that require certainty — for example, fishing regulations, food safety, or anything where misidentifying a species could cause harm. When the answer matters, verify independently with a qualified source (your state wildlife agency, a fisheries biologist, etc.).

Species coverage, accuracy, and features may change over time. We may add, remove, or modify functionality at any time without notice.

Acceptable use

Use Fish101 for personal, non-commercial fish identification. You agree not to:

• Attempt to abuse, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Use Fish101 in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to extract or copy the underlying AI model
• Resell or commercially redistribute Fish101's outputs

We may rate-limit or block any user or IP address we believe is abusing the service, at our sole discretion.

"As is" — no warranty

Fish101 is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that identifications will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piscaro LLC and its members, agents, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Fish101. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to Fish101 is limited to USD $0 (zero dollars), reflecting the fact that Fish101 is provided to you free of charge.

Termination

We may discontinue Fish101 at any time, for any reason. If we do, you may continue to use any locally installed copy until you uninstall it, but the server-side identification feature may stop working.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of Fish101 is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida, USA.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of Fish101 after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
